WESCO Begins to Expand Capabilities With Its Stepping Stones Transitional Living Program With Search For A Program Coordinator
Denison, IA (April 1, 2021) – WESCO Industries’ Stepping Stones Transitional Living program has been a big success with getting those in need the proper support for reintegration back into the community. Identifying a demand for this type of service, WESCO Industries has its sights set on growing this program. The first step in that process is finding a Program Coordinator.
Located in Vail, Iowa, WESCO’s Transitional Living Center provides short-term housing for individuals coming out of placement or hospitalization who need to redevelop skills to succeed in the community. In 2020, the Stepping Stones Transitional Living program successfully transitioned 78% of individuals in need of assistance. There is a growing need for transitional living services in western Iowa.
“We remain fully committed to the mission of empowering people, and those in need of transitional living require proper support to get back out in the community,” said Clay Adams, Executive Director of WESCO Industries. “We feel it’s our obligation to take the next steps and expand our services and capabilities with this program. That starts with hiring a new program coordinator.”
WESCO is searching for a skilled and credentialed candidate to fill the full-time, exempt, salaried Program Coordinator position for managing the Transitional Living Program. The non-profit organization is looking for an applicant with experience in the supervision of multiple employees, planning, developing and delivering human services, employee relations, managing a budget, and working within a team environment. Interested individuals must also have experience in working with substance abuse, mental illness, and co-occurring disorders.
Those interested in applying for this management position are encouraged to send their cover letter, resume, and references to Brittany Webb, WESCO’s Human Resource Director, via email at bwebb@wescoind.org. Applicants can also apply online by visiting WESCOInd.org/Careers.
In partnership with St. Anne’s Catholic Church, the Stepping Stones Transitional Living Center is a part of the Rolling Hills Mental Health Region, which serves Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll,
Cherokee, Crawford, Ida, Sac, and Woodbury Counties.
