We created the WESCO Day Habilitation program for individuals who desire to explore and discover new things. Day trips are planned throughout the surrounding communities, focusing on volunteering in business and nonprofit organizations.
Day Habilitation members have their own Clubhouse in the community called, The WAVE. The Clubhouse model offers members the choice of different learning opportunities, both in-house and throughout the community, such as:
- Support for education or training for a profession
- Business partnerships
- Daily living skills
- Support for education or training to integrate with the information society (internet banking, social media, basic IT skills)
- Volunteer opportunities
- Sensory therapy
- Self-esteem building
While motivating individuals to participate in different activities in the community in which they reside, these opportunities are indispensable steps toward enriching the lives of every member.
