Individual Respite
This program is designed to offer relief to parents and caregivers in a 1-on-1 setting. Respite can be provided at the parent/caregiver’s request to include nights and weekends. Can be provided in your home or out in the community.
Group Respite
WESCO’s adult respite and child respite program is designed to offer relief to parents and caregivers in a group environment. Group Respite is a home-like setting that focuses on peer socialization, safety in the community and at home, simple cooking, and lots of laughs.
This program provides relief for those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside of the home. These programs provide a break for caregivers of children and adults with disabilities both in and outside of their homes. This is available on an individual basis as well as in a group setting and also is offered on nights and weekends. Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they may remain home, the physical and emotional consequences can be overwhelming at times without additional support, such as a respite program. This break can provide health benefits for both the individual and the caregiver.
