De Von Clark

Program Manager

I was born in Chicago and raised in the south suburbs, later relocating to eastern and northwest Iowa during my young adult years while pursuing both athletic and academic goals. These experiences allowed me to develop strong adaptability, discipline, and teamwork skills that continue to influence my personal and professional life.

During my final year of college, I worked at a youth shelter, where I was introduced to supporting individuals who needed strong advocacy, structure, and compassion. This experience sparked my passion for working with individuals who benefit from consistent support and meaningful relationships, and it helped shape my long-term commitment to service-based work.

In 2005, I moved to Denison, Iowa, my wife’s hometown. Prior to joining WESCO, I worked at Denison Job Corps for approximately 15 years in a variety of leadership roles. Throughout my time there, I gained extensive experience in staff development, program oversight, crisis management, and collaboration with community resources. These roles further strengthened my leadership skills and expanded my understanding of the services available to both youth and adults.

My wife and I were married in the spring of 2010, surrounded by family, friends, and coworkers. We are proud parents of two children—a daughter and a son—who keep us busy and motivated. As a family, we enjoy traveling, attending sporting events, watching movies, and streaming series, and spending time with extended family and friends.

Outside of work, I am passionate about giving back to the community through coaching youth sports and training young athletes in track and field. I value teamwork, mentorship, and helping others reach their potential—values that align closely with my role in human services.

I began my journey with WESCO in October 2025 and have found it incredibly rewarding to work alongside members and staff who are dedicated to helping individuals achieve independence, dignity, and a high quality of life. I look forward to continuing to grow in this role while supporting the mission and values of the organization.

Seeing so many individuals succeed in life and being able to transition back into the community is the best part of my job. - WESCO Industries Employee
They can't tell you when you start this job there may come a time where you find you're more comfortable surrounded by people with developmental disabilities than when you are with the general population. But it happens. - WESCO Industries Employee
