Tara Trierweiler

Program Coordinator- Transitional Living

I graduated from Denison High School and attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies. I also completed a teaching degree for Secondary Education (History). I have worked my entire adult life in social services working at Denison Job Corps for a combined 8.5 years, Southwest Iowa Family Access Center in Council Bluffs for 2 years and most recently as a Coordinator at Wesco. I am the oldest of 4 children on my mom’s side and the oldest of 5 on my dad’s side for a combined 3 brothers and 4 sisters which has consequently led to 12 nieces and nephews. When I’m not working you can find me at home taking bath naps or spending time with family and friends. I enjoy all things music! I love traveling and have a goal to reach all 50 states by the time I’m 50 and, currently have visited 27 (I still have some time!). I love people and look forward to continue helping people in this new journey at Wesco and Stepping Stones!

They can't tell you when you start this job there may come a time where you find you're more comfortable surrounded by people with developmental disabilities than when you are with the general population. But it happens. - WESCO Industries Employee
