Sam Hottendorf

Supported Employment Program Coordinator

My name is Samantha Hottendorf. I have worked at Wesco since June 2016. I first started in the Supported employment department as an Employment Specialist. In August of 2018, I accepted the position of Supported Employment Assistant manager. In October 2019, I was then given the opportunity to be the Program Coordinator of the Supported Employment department. I really enjoy working with the individuals and seeing them grow in their employment and in their independence.

I live in Manilla with my 19 year old Daughter Skylar and we have 1 cat, “Boots”. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy going to the campground during the spring and summer and sitting around the campfire. I am an IOWA Hawkeye fan and enjoy watching college football games. I enjoy the “girls trips” that I have taken and will continue to do that. I would like to visit all of the 50 states, BUT I am sure that Alaska and Hawaii are out because I refuse to fly.

Seeing so many individuals succeed in life and being able to transition back into the community is the best part of my job. - WESCO Industries Employee
They can't tell you when you start this job there may come a time where you find you're more comfortable surrounded by people with developmental disabilities than when you are with the general population. But it happens. - WESCO Industries Employee
Until someone has had their own experience with someone with a developmental disability, they just won't understand. - WESCO Industries Employee
